Melbourne Haul

Hi hi! Here I am to finally share my haul of makeup I bought in Melbourne last month! I decided to go up on a spontaneous trip over a weekend with my mum and I finally visited Sephora for the first time, it was magical haha! Along with Sephora, I also shopped at Mac and Mecca! Today I’ll just be showing you what I bought. I’ll release more in depth reviews on some of these products soon!! So keep your eyes peeled if you’re interested in seeing my review on some of the products below!

bareMinerals – Prime Time Neutralizing Primer | $35
First up, my repurchase of the bareMinerals Prime Time Neutralizing Primer. I absolutely looove this stuff, it’s super moisturizing and is completely yellow which cancels out redness and darkness on the face. It’s my absolute go-to and I believe I’ve raved about it before but it’s a necessity of mine haha!

Mac Prep and Prime – Fix + | $27
Another important repurchase. I was running critically low on my previous one so I bought a back up because I use this stuff religiously! An absolute must-have product. It’s versatile for so many reasons. I use it on my beauty blender after it’s already been dampened, on brushes to increase intensity of eyeshadows, to prep the skin after I’ve applied primer, to set my makeup (it also increases the intensity of your highlighter!) and lastly, I use this as an all ’round refresh spray when I’m feeling hot or my makeup starts to look not so fresh.

Kat Von D – Lock It Tattoo Foundation ($49) & Lock It Concealer ($32)
An anticipated purchase from Sephora! I have wanted to try both these out for the longest time! And can we take a moment for the packaging?! So gorgeous! I’ll be posting a more in depth review on both of these products in the future so keep your pretty eyes peeled!

Becca – Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Champagne Pop by Jaclyn Hill | $60
An obviously crazy raved about product. I didn’t really intend to buy this when I walked into Sephora, but I saw and I thought why not? I already own Opal (it’s actually smashed and is in need of fixing :S) so I’m not sure why I got this one too, but oh well! A gorgeous highlighter none the less and I’ve been using it daily since I bought it haha!

Kat Von D – Studded Kiss Lipstick in Cathedral | $31
Originally wanted to buy a liquid lipstick but unfortunatly they were sold out of the shades I was interested in. I saw this lipstick and it instantly caught my eye so I got it haha! I don’t really have any good reasons as to why I buy these things that aren’t really on my shopping list but oh welllssss! It’s a gorgeous mauve-y pink shade and I’m sure I have plenty of similar colours already but I also couldn’t pass up the stunning packaging!

And that’s a wrap! That’s everything I purchased whilst I was in Melbourne last month! I was so stoked to finally see Sephora in the flesh! It’s awesome that we have access to a lot of high end, international products and yeah we can purchase them online too, but it’s really difficult to colour match online which is one of the reasons why I wanted to visit the store. A lot of the products I originally went in to find, were sold out unfortunately but I’m happy with my purchases regardless! I hope you enjoyed seeing what I bought, like I said in the beginning I’ll be sharing more in depth reviews on some of these products so keep a look out for them! Thanks again for reading! x

‘Model Co for Colette’ Sets

Hi all! I’m back, once again, from taking an unnecessary break that I can’t explain haha but regardless I have plenty of content to share with you! Roughly around a month ago, my mum brought me some pressies from a regular trip to Melbourne. This time she brought me some goodies from Colette! I hadn’t usually seen makeup sold there (although I hardly shop there myself haha) but these sets are from Model Co which I have heard of before. From previous experience Model Co products haven’t been anything grand for me, their quality is good, not the best but it’s definitely a good brand for beginners! Also I’m unsure of the prices of these unfortunately as they were technically gifts! All up there’s three sets. One set contains three lipsticks, another – a mascara and eyeliner and the last one – a bronzer and two lip glosses! Regardless of my previous experiences with Model Co, I was excited to try these out! To see my first impression thoughts on these products, continue reading!

NYX Prep & Finish Set

Hi all! So I saw this 3 piece set at Target and just had to grab it as it was such good value! I was actually surprised to see new stock there as they haven’t restocked the NYX stall for a long time… but they’re always releasing new sets so I was stoked with this find! This set cost $29 AUD and you get three full size products in it, which are all over $10 separately so you’re saving a few bucks by purchasing this set.

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation

Hi all! Here I am, back with a new product review for you! Now this foundation was quite popular in 2015 and at the beginning of December, I finally caved in and purchased it! I purchased this from Mecca Cosmetica Online and it set me back $58 AUD which tops the most I’ve ever spent on a foundation, yikes! However, it’s only a few dollars more expensive than the Mac foundation that I purchase regularly!

Too Faced describe this foundation as an “…oil-free foundation that masterfully diffuses the line between makeup and skin. Coverage so undetectable and skin so naturally radiant, they’ll think you were Born This Way.”

Happy New Year!

Hi all! I know it’s already a week into the New Year and I still haven’t wrapped my head around it being 2016 yet but happy new year to all my beautiful followers and readers! I hope you’ve had a blast over the holidays but unfortunately for me I haven’t had any and have been working flat out since the beginning of December! I haven’t put any effort into sitting down and smashing out some posts for my blog but it’s been a very hectic end and start to the year and I’m still trying to get back into the swing of things.

I’m not the best at keeping promises I make to myself in terms of completing goals and what not, but I definitely hope to put a lot more effort into my blog this year. I slacked off quite a bit at the end of the year but I’m back for a fresh start and I hope I can keep up with my two posts a week schedule! I’m looking at finding a second job but I’m eager to keep my schedule as it is.

Anyway I’m not going to make this post too long because I wanna get straight to it and back into my regular posts! Next week I’m planning to clean out my makeup storage and possibly rid some old items to make way for new products, yahoo! I have a few exciting things waiting to share with you, so keep your eyes peeled as I’ll have a new post up on Friday!

Thanks for all your support last year and I look forward to sharing more with you over 2016! x
